Hundreds of foreigners visit Imam Khomeini’s residence

At least 360 foreigners visited Imam Khomeini’s historic residence in the Iranian city of Khomein during the past year.

Figures also show thousands of pilgrims or tourists from across Iran and other parts of the world have visited Imam Khomeini’s residenceso far this year.

There has been a dramatic increase in number of people from various echelon of society who visited the historic residence in the historic city during the days of Nowruz, which marks the bringing of the new Persian year.

Imam Khomeini’s simply-built residence in the cities of Khomeini, Qom and Tehran are visited by a large number of people including several foreigners each year.

Imam Khomeini opted to live in very simply-built house in a northern Jamran neighborhood in the Iranian capital Tehran after becoming the founder of the Islamic Revolution in 1979. 

Several galleries, which portray the history of the Islamic revolution, have been created along the sites of great significance. 

The sites have been turned into beacon of social, cultural and religious activities in recent years.

The Islamic Revolution under the leadership of Imam Khomeini put Iran on track of progress, defended the rights of Muslims and strengthened the oppressed nations across the globe.

The founder of the Islamic Republic had also distributed all of his ancestral lands among the poor farmers and needy people.

Imam’s simple life style and his divine-oriented knowledge and wisdom have attracted the attention of millions of followers of divine religions and devotees from across the world.
