Poland marks Imam Khomeini anniversary


The 27th passing away anniversary of the late founder of the Islamic Republic has been held in Warsaw, the sprawling capital of Poland.

The ceremony was attended by several diplomats, intellectuals from several Islamic countries and the Iranian ambassador in the polish capital.

Addressing the gathering, Ramin Mehmanparast, the current ambassador to Poland said that Imam Khomeini is not only a leader for the Iranian people, but a great guide for all independent communities and nations.

The ambassador also highlighted the significance for all independent and free nations to follow the path of Imam Khomeini.

The diplomat went onto say that Imam Khomeini’s era has been characterized by awareness and awakening, as he raised awareness among all nations and introduced them the genuine teachings of Islam.


Several academics, scholars and intellectuals also addressed the mourning ceremony.

Imam Khomeini passed away on June 03, 1989 and departed heavenly after reviving divine and spiritual values in contemporary era, and restoring dignity to the Iranian nations, the entire Muslim Ummah and the oppressed people.
