The daughter- in- law of Imam Khomeini has said the late founder of the Islamic Republic won hearts and minds of people.

The daughter- in- law of Imam Khomeini has said that the late founder of the Islamic Republic won hearts and minds of people.

Dr. Fatima Tabatabai made remarks while addressing a ceremony held at the Iranian Embassy in Japan.

The ceremony was held to marks the 27th passing away anniversary of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, and was attended by diplomats, intellectual and academic figures.

Dr. Tabatabai is head of department of the Imam Khomeini and Islamic Revolution Research Center and also manages Iran’s scientific Association on Islamic Mysticism.  

Speaking to the ceremony, she stressed that conquering a land is perhaps much easier than winning the hearts and minds of people.  She also explained Imam’s ideals and dynamic thought regarding various philosophical and mystical theories. 

The remarks come as Imam Khomeini’s ideals and thought are becoming increasingly popular among his devotees, followers of all divine religions, freedom-seekers and oppressed nations. 

Pointing to the ever-growing popularity of Imam Khomeini’s thought, a recent New York Times’ report has said that 27 years after passing away of the late founder of the Islamic Rpeublic, his mausoleum remains as one of the largest religious complexes and focal point for attentions of believers from across the world.
