Imam Khomeini used to recommend the believers and faithful people to pay special attention to self-purification and get rid of carnal desires during this blessed divine month of Ramadan.

The Laylat al-Qadr which is also known as Night of Power,  Night of Decree, , Night of Value, Night of Destiny, or Night of Measures has always been of great significance.

The holy Quran highlights significance of the holy night and the other meaning is that this is, a night of unique glory, honor and dignity; so much so that it is better than a thousand months.

According to the holy book of Quran, among the nights of Ramadan is one special night known Laylatul Qadr, which is better than a thousand months.  Worships, divine practices and good deeds performed on that single night are equal to those performed over a thousand months.
