Iran denounces former Saudi spy chief

Iranian foreign minister has strongly denounced the former Saudi spy chief Prince Turki al-Faisal for taking part in a rally held by the MKO terrorist group in the French capital of Paris.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif recently said that former Saudi spy chief, Prince Turki al-Faisal, and his ilk face a fate similar to that of the former Iraqi dictator, Saddam Hussein.  “He [Faisal] has created both al-Qaeda and Taliban and played a very disgraceful role in the past record of Al Saud regime.”

Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Ministry has summoned French ambassador to Tehran and Director General for the Iranian Foreign Ministry's Western Europe Department Abolqasem Delfi delivered the Islamic Republic’s strong protest after Paris hosted a rally by the terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO).

“The holding of this gathering by those whose hands are stained with the blood of the Iranian people and its orchestration by the father and founder of terrorist groups such as the Taliban, al-Qaeda and Daesh and the Zionists’ ally and the delivery of a lowly speech by them against the Islamic Republic of Iran on French soil are unacceptable,” Delfi said.

French Ambassador to Tehran François Sénémaud said that the French government has no ties with and does not recognize the MKO terrorist group and added that he would inform his country’s officials of Iran’s protest as soon as possible.

The developments come day after the French capital hosted an annual meeting organized by the MKO terrorist group which was attended by former Saudi intelligence chief, Prince Turki al-Faisal. The ex-Saudi intelligence chief gave a 30-minute address to the gathering.

The MKO is the most hated terrorist group among the Iranians because of its dark history of bombings and assassinations and bombings. In addition to that, the terror group also sided with the former Iraqi dictator Saddam in his eight-year war against Iran in the 1980s.

Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic in his speeches and messages frequently denounced crimes and atrocities being committed by MKO and its backers.
