Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini made remarks while addressing a gathering of university students at Imam Khomeini and Islamic Revolution college and research center.
The internationally-reputed scholar went onto say that main distinguishing point between Imam and other scholars of his time had been that he was blessed with great courage and bravery.
Imam Khomeini, the contemporary leader of the Muslim world, had been blessed with bravery and wisdom, he stressed.
Imam didn’t give into fear during toughest situations while struggling against brutal regime of Pahlavi at various stages including when the Shah agents detained him nearly 54 years ago, Seyyed Hassan Khomeini stressed.
The Muslim intellectual concluded by saying that Imam Khomeini confronted aggressive policies of colonial powers against oppressed nations at very sensitive juncture of history.
The victory of the Islamic Revolution under wise leadership of Imam Khomeini put Iran on track of progress, changed balance of power in the strategic Mideast region, and strengthened the oppressed people around the world
