IRIB seeks to broadcast program from Imam Khomeini’s shrine

Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) says the organization would prefer to give coverage programs from Imam Khomeini’s holy mausoleum.

Abdolali Ali Asgari made remarks while visiting a stall set up by the institute for compilation and publication of Imam Khomeini at press and media exhibition in Tehran.

The IRIB added that the necessary correspondence should be done for coordination to telecast the programs on occasions such as Ashura from the holy site.

It is worthy to mention that the mausoleum of the late founder of the Islamic Republic has become a beacon of holding social, cultural, spiritual and religious events in recent years.

The site is also visited by thousands of pilgrims, tourists, officials and intellectuals from across Iran and the different parts of the world each year.

Iran made significant progress in several fields including media following the victory of the Islamic revolution under the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini in 1979.

The Islamic-democratic system established by Imam put Iran on track of progress, and changed the balance of power in the interests of Islamic and developing countries and strengthen the oppressed nations.
