Imam said in a historic speech which was delivered less than a year after the victory of the Islamic revolution that the students form intellectual power of the nation.
According to Imam, the future and destiny of the country rest with the all students which are engaged in acquiring knowing in different fields.
Imam also defined teachers as of great vales as they train students who are of future builder of the nation.
It is mention to worthy that 16 of Azar on Iranian calendar is marked as national student day.
Meanwhile, addressing a Student's Day ceremony on Tuesday at Tehran University, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that 16 Azar’s martyrs hoisted independence flag in university.
The president added that "Our country's achievements are the result of consensus of people and the authorities, as well as the Supreme Leader's support".
He also noted that nothing is more important than people's hope and trust.
"Azar 16 is the day of fighting against colonization and dictatorship" said President Rouhani at the ceremony.
It is worthy to mention that the victory of the Islamic Revolution under the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini put Iran on track of progress and changed the balance of power in the interest of oppressed nations.
