Myasnikovich and his accompanied delegation visited Imam Khomeini’s holy shrine and laid a wreath to honor the late founder of the Islamic Revolution.
The visit comes as millions of people are set to mark the 38th anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution under wise leadership of Imam Khomeini who changed the balance of power in the interest of the world’s oppressed nations.
Myasnikovich arrived in the Iranian capital Tehran at the official invitation of Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani.
The top Belarusian parliamentarian has met Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif . President Rouhani stressed during the meeting with Myasnikovich that the Islamic Republic and Belarus have always stood by each other with their close cooperation on the international scene
Myasnikovich for his part, stressed the importance of improving politico-economic cooperation between the two countries.
The senior Belarusian official noted that the time is ripe for strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries with the removal of sanctions against Iran.
