Imam Khomeini showed great patience, self-esteem in thick and thin times

Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic used to show great morale, patience and self-esteem and has been source of aspiration for devotees during thick and thin times.

Relatives and people and associates of Imam Khomeini recall that the leader of contemporary Muslim world used to show great courage and had been source of aspiration for all officials and people during tough times.

For an instance, Imam khomeini used to show great patience while he did not enjoy good health conditions during last months of his life. It was all due to his great reliance on God Almighty and his deep love for the Iranian nation and the Muslim world.

He never complained of pains he suffered when he was hospitalized. Imam also never missed his spiritual activities like saying prayers on time or reciting the holy book of Quran.

He used to issue recommendations or delivered pieces of advises which were source of guidance for his devotes and the entire nation.

Imam, who established Islamic Republic system following leading a popular uprising against the Pahlavi regime and its capitalists backers, managed to take the country out of crisis on several occasion and put Iran on track of progress despite all opposition by the colonial powers.

Imam had a strong will power and never surrendered and tackled all difficulties with reliance on God and always counted on support by public masses.

Imam’s dynamic thought and ideals are becoming increasing popular among all freedom seekers and followers of divine religions.  

Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Rouhollah Mousavi Khomeini, better known as Imam Khomeini, was born to a family of religious scholars in 1902 in the central Iranian city of Khomein.

Imam Khomeini contributed many years of his life to resistance against the US-backed Pahlavi dynasty, and eventually paved the way for its downfall in the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Imam Khomeini passed away on June 3, 1989 at the age of 87.
