It was the first Quranic session by a convoy of Iranian Quranic figures, comprising prominent Qaris and Tawasheeh (religious singing) groups that has been traveling to different parts of the country to hold programs on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory, IQNA news agency reported.

Many Quranic, religious and spiritual gatherings and Quranic study circles are expected to be held at the holy shrine during the upcoming weeks. This comes as the 10-Day Dawn festivities will culminate in nationwide rallies on February 10 this year, the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
The period witnessed last-ditch efforts by the Washington-backed regime of Iran’s former monarch to hold onto power by unleashing deadly force against pro-Revolution protesters.
The entire struggle resulting in the Revolution was led by Imam Khomeini, who successfully united the people against Pahlavi oppression and dependence on the US.
Imam Khomeini established an Islamic-democratic system in Iran following the victory of the revolution. The Islamic revolution revived divine values and changed the balance of power in interest of the oppressed nations.
The holy site, which is located on the southern suburbs of the Iranian capital Tehran, has become beacon of academic and spiritual gatherings in recent years.
Imam through his messages, speeches and works had frequently recommended the believers to undertake serious efforts to recite Quraran and supplications narrated by the holy prophet of Islam and his infallible successor during the holy month. Imam also stresses the self-training and spiritual training during this holy period.
Experts maintain that Imam’s philosophical, mystical, jurisprudential and political thought have deep roots in basic Islamic sources such as Quran and Sunnah. The divine personality of Imam had well command over philosophy, mysticism, Jurisprudence, Quran and Hadith sciences and several other disciplines of knowledge.
Beside knowledge, Imam decorated himself with divine, spiritual and moral values and revived religious values in contemporary era when the entire world had been plunged into social and moral decline.
