This portal aims to fill the lack of an official resource about Imam Khomeini through the World Wide Web and provide its viewers with comprehensive information about Imam Khomeini’s biography and relatives, related places, memoirs, the ideas of the Imam, the views about him, the seminars held on Imam Khomeini's thought and a complete bibliography of Imam Khomeini’s works and compilations.
In addition, all viewers may benefit from different services such as News, Special Editions, Virtual Tour, Digital Library and Multimedia facilities, which are easily accessible on this comprehensive website.
The comprehensive portal of Imam Khomeini was launched by the Institute for Compilation and Publication of Imam Khomeini's Works [1] to achieve each of the following objectives:
- Collection of all the documents and works of Imam Khomeini(s) as well as the works written down by the authors and researchers in Iran and abroad, about his personality, life, struggles and high-grade thought and ideas.
- Preservation and perpetual superintendence over the works and documents of Imam Khomeini(s) in the best manner.
- Publication of Imam Khomeini's works in Iran and abroad.
- Research base investigations on the works of Imam Khomeini(s) across the variety of subjects.
- Translation of Imam Khomeini's works and issuance of magazines and bulletins in different languages.
- Establishment of cultural centers such as museum and photo gallery and maintenance from the places attributed to Imam Khomeini (s).
- Holding exhibitions, academic seminars, symposiums and cultural conferences in Iran and abroad in this regard.
- Consultation and communication with those who write down with regard to the works of Imam Khomeini(s).

[1]The Institute for Compilation and Publication of Imam Khomeini's Works has obtained abundant achievements under the supervision of Hujjat al-Islam Haj Sayyid Ahmad Khomeini. At present, position of the chancellery and the presidency over the Holy Shrine Complex of Imam Khomeini (s) is delegated to Hujjat al-Islam Haj Sayyid Hassan Khomeini.
