Weather conditions could never prevent Imam from reciting Ziarat-e-Ashura on rooftop

A memoir by Imam’s domestic servant known as Jafar Mashhadi

The memoirs dates back to several years before Imam Khomeini was sent into exile by the Shah regime.

It has been reported by a domestic servant that one day he couldn’t find Imam anywhere in the house in the holy city of Qom.

After searching different corners of the residence by the family members, Imam was finally located on the rooftop while reciting Ziarat-e- Ashura and shedding tears in remembrance of Imam Hossein (‘a).

It is worthy to mention that the climate of Qom has been very hot in summers and severe cold in winters. But Imam never give up reciting supplication under an open sky on the rooftop in all weather conditions.

People within the close circles of Imam have recalled that he had always great commitment regarding reciting supplications throughout his life.

During his stay in the holy Iranian city of Qom, where Imam resided years before exile, had done great service to seminaries by teaching and training students. He was a symbol of divine personality and had great devotion for members of the family of the holy prophet of Islam.
