It has been reported that Imam Khomeini showed great devotion towards reciting holy Quran during his stay in holy city of Najaf.
It was widely reported that he used to read at least two chapters of the Holy Scripture every day. Imam used to recite parts of Quran whenever he found time in the morning or afternoon.
Imam’s political activities never prevented him from reciting the holy book.
