It has been reported through a series of memoirs that Imam Khomeini used to attend mourning ceremonies held in remembrance of doyen of martyrs. He made his presence from beginning to the end of such ceremonies because he had great devotion for the people of the holy prophet’s household.
Imam frequently said that the Islamic Revolution had been inspired by the Ashura uprising.
