Imam’s main capital was his reliance on public masses, says Seyyed Hassan Khomeini

The grandson of the late founder of the Islamic Republic says the largest capital of Imam had been his reliance on people throughout the struggle for the Islamic Revolution.

He made remarks at a ceremony which was held in Tehran’s “Wahdat Hall” where a documentary was released under the title of “Imam and people” was unveiled in the presence of senior government officials and intellectuals and seminary and university professors.  

“If today we have any dignity, it was the hard work of the pioneers of the revolution who rendered great sacrifices,” said Seyyed Hassan Khomeini. 

He further stated that Imam had great trust in God Almighty and furthered struggle for the Islamic Revolution through reliance on people.  

“The Imam had no capital but the people. He used to rely on public masses.” 

The reputed scholar said that “the foes and hostile powers towards the Islamic Revolution still portray the Imam as their biggest enemy.”  

Elsewhere in his remarks, Seyyed Hassan Khomeini said that a massive work was needed to elucidate the objectives of Islamic Revolution under the leadership of Imam at sensitive juncture of history. Otherwise the hostile elements towards the revolution and Imam. will continue to distort the realities.
