Imam's Works Were Widely Welcomed in Sudan's Book Fair

Imam Khomeini's works were exhibited during the International book fair in the Sudanese capital Khartoum and were widely welcomed by the visitors.

More than 150 publishers from around the world and dozens of domestic publication companies participated and presented their works in this exhibition of great significance.

The book fair was held with efforts of the Sudanese cultural and information ministry.

Bilal Uthman, the Sudanese minister for culture and information, delivered a speech during an inauguration ceremony which was attended by foreign dignitaries including the Iranian ambassador and the cultural figures of Khartoum. Uthman highlighted cultural activities and progress made by Sudanese people over the some past few years. 

The department for international affairs of the institute for complication and publication of Imam Khomeini's works participated in this exhibition with close coordination from some domestic Iranian institutions and Iranian embassy and cultural center in Khartoum.

Several books of the current supreme leader of the Islamic Revolution and professor Morteza Motahhari were also presented alongside with Imam's works at the Iranian stall. The Sudanese cultural minister also visited stall and appreciated the presence of works by the Iranian intellectuals covering a range of topics in the exhibition. 

It is noteworthy that the works of Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic, have been translated into Arabic and several other languages. Moreover the institute has also produced several multimedia works over the past few years.

Surveys show that the demand for Imam's works is on the rise in Africa and several other continents around the globe.
