A conference on Gnosticism and spirituality in Imam Khomeini's works will be held on the 19th of December at Birjand University. According to the University Jihad (Jahad-e-Danishgahi) Department of the public relations section of the Imam and Islamic Revolution Centre, this conference will be held with the presence of the alumni members of the University of Birjand and at the Medical Sciences Department of the University of Birjand. Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimeen Dhu E’lm, who is the head of the Culture and Social Studies Institute of the Sciences and Islamic Culture Research Centre, will discuss the spiritual and gnostic aspects of Imam Khomeini’s character and its effects on society.
Another conference was also held for the university students and lecturers of the Literature Department of the University of Birjand. Dr. Manochihr Akbari, who is the President of the Persian Encyclopedia Foundation, will be delivering a speech regarding Gnosticism and its place in Imam Khomeini’s thoughts. Dr. Akbari will be looking at the Gnostic elements in Imam Khomeini’s poetry and literature.
These conferences, which have been hosted by the aforementioned University Cultural centre, the Khorasan-e-Razavi branch of the University Jihad Department and the Korasan-e-Jonoobi Representatives of the Supreme Leader Foundation, will also be receiving the Imam of the Friday prayers of Birjand, the deputy head of the political security department of the mayoral group of Kohrasan Jonoobi, and other local heads.
