The Necessity of Respecting the Reporters during the National Ceremony of June 3rd

The secretary of the PR Committee of Imam Khomeini’s Commemoration emphasized on the cooperation of all organizations with the media for the TV and news coverage of the 23rd Demise Anniversary of Imam Khomeini ceremony.

According to the News committee of Imam Khomeini’s Commemoration, during the plan and program meeting of this committee at the conference hall of Imam Khomeini, Abdul Rasoul Wesal said: “This year's ceremony coincidences with the opening of the new parliament  and the presence of foreign reporters has a great importance. The foreign reporters who enter the country will try to make some news and gather some information and they will go to talk with the people.”

He continued: “Each year there has been different programs to gratitude the reporters, but despite all these programs there has been some inconsistencies which has caused different difficulties for the local and foreign reporters, I’m not just talking about foreign reporters, but reflecting this ceremony inside and outside of the country has great importance.”

Wesal stated: “There is a believe that says only the IRIB’s live coverage of this ceremony is enough and any reporter from anywhere in the world could write his report through these pictures, but this believe won’t lead us to our goal because both the local and foreign news agencies and also the printing media’s reporters and news websites will each narrate their own report from this ceremony.”

“As everywhere in the world we should have this respect for the presence of the reporters at the June 2nd ceremony.” said Wesal.

Wesal continued: “Naturally the central committee expects us as the PR to prepare all the facilities for the presence of the reporters. Last year these facilities were almost prepared and some MOUs where signed but some of their articles weren’t executed.”

He stated: “There has been a great planning for the reflecting of the activities of the committees, organizations and the Jamaran and Holy Shrine’s programs, but we ask all the organizations to inform us about any program that they have so we could reflect that to.”

He also emphasized on accurate and onetime informing of the committees’ programs through the IRIB and said: “Last year there was a good cooperation with the IRIB, also this year by the presence of the IRIB’s PR manager as the representative of the head of the IRIB, we hope that the coverage of this years ceremony will be done better than before, and that as each year passes by we will hold a greater and more glorious ceremony for Imam Khomeini and as we’ll have more cooperation with the reporters, for sure their coverage and reflection will be better.”

Mohammad Ali Ansari, the secretary of Imam Khomeini’s Commemoration Committee also mentioned the especial position of the reporters in reflecting the ceremony and said: “When we invite millions of people to the June 2nd ceremony, well if last year there were 10 foreign reporters this year they should be 50 reporters. If last year there were 500 reporters this year they should be 1000 reporters. When we gratitude them and respect them and cooperate with them, they would for sure have a better coverage from the ceremony.”

Sohrabi the PR manager of the IRIB who was present at this meeting, said: “All the programs that were expected from the IRIB have been done, and our colleagues at radio and TV, province channels and international channels, are ready to their duties before, while and after the ceremony.”

He continued: “Each year the IRIB programs in different channels have the theme of Imam before his demise anniversary. With God’s willing  this year we’ll see a good preparation from the IRIB.”
