Iranian female students vow to perform religious duties

Iranian female students pledge allegiance to Imam Khomeini ideals and vow to perform their religious and social duties.

Aytollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of founder of the Islamic Republic, delivered a brief lecture at the ceremony, and led the prayers at the holy shrine which is located at the suburbs of the Iranian capital, Tehran. 

It is a part of religious and social practice in Iran and several other Islamic country that the grown up girls and boys in religious ceremonies pledge to perform their religious and social duties and vow to be a responsible members of the society. 

The girls participating in these ceremonies observe Islamic veils, say prayers, and recite verses of Quran.

It is remarkable that Imam Khomeini’s holy shirne has become a center of religious, social and cultural activities over the past year. 

The holy site is visited by officials and pilgrims who pledge allegiance to Imam Khomeini’s ideals and teachings. 

It is also visited by a large number of tourists from across the globe each year.

Iranian revolution which emerged triumphant under the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini have raised awareness among Iranian women and granted them with special status and position in the society. 

Following the revolution victory, the Iranian women have made significant progress in several fields including education, social and cultural fields. They works shoulder to shoulder with men in all arenas. 

The Iranian women also actively participated in the struggle against the struggle for the Islamic Revolution which resulted in collapse of the brutal regime of Shah in 1979. 

Several articles and books have been compiled and published on the topic of the ‘women statues form viewpoint of Imam Khomeini’.

Imam restored rights of women and raised awareness and awakening among them as they became fully aware of their rights and duties in the Islamic society.
