Cultural center showcases memorable photos of Imam

An exhibition showcasing photos of the funeral of Imam Khomeini in June 1989 is currently underway at a cultural gallery in the Iranian capital.

The exhibition entitled “Eternal Pictures” is displaying the memorable photos at the Fanus Gallery of Tehran’s Razi Cultural Center.

The exhibition, which has been organized on the eve of 27th anniversary of Imam’s passing away anniversary, runs until June 5 at the center located on Kargar Ave. near Razi Square.

The cultural event has been organized in close coordination with the Institute for the Compilation and Publication of Imam Khomeini’s Works to commemorate the death anniversary of the founder of the Islamic Republic.

Rouhollah Mousavi Khomeini was born in the central Iranian city of Khomein on September 24, 1902 to a family of scholars.

Imam Khomeini passed away on June 3, 1989 at the age of 87 after reviving divine and spiritual values in contemporary era. At that time, millions of people had attended Imam’s funeral ceremony.

The late founder of the Islamic Republic is widely respected by all divine followers of religions as he invited all faithful to gather under banner of monotheism to confront vicious agenda by colonial powers.

The revolution under leadership of Imam strengthened the oppressed nations and changed the balance of powers in their interest.
