Several workers, officials form Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs were also present at the meeting with Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini which was held at the late founder of the Islamic Republic’s holy mausoleum which is located on southern suburbs of the Iranian capital, Tehran.
Pointing to positive outcome of exercise and sports, Seyyed Hassan Khomeini underscored the need for more investment in the field.
Delivering a speech to the group of workers and high-ranking officials from the ministry, the internationally-reputed scholar stressed that sports and exercise strengthens the society in all its perspectives.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the grandson of Imam Khomeini also said that the women have made significant progress in sports by observing all moral obligations.
The minister of sports and youth affairs also delivered a brief speech to the audience.
