Pakistani poets visits Imam Khomeini’s residence

A group of women poets from Pakistan have visited the historic residence of the late founder of the Islamic Republic in Tehran’s northern district of Jamaran.

They visited the simply-built residence where Imam had opted to live after becoming the founder of the Islamic Republicfollowing the revolution victory in 1979.

 The guests were deeply impressed by the simple lifestyle adopted by Imam and the way such divine personality influenced the entire world.

The group from Pakistan also visited a nearby gallery where objects regarding the history of the Islamic Revolution have been kept. They also received briefing about Imam’s works and the decisive events in the history of Islamic revolution.

The sites attributed to late founder of the Islamic Republic are visited by thousands of intellectuals, scholars, pilgrims and tourists from across Iran and other parts of the world each year.

Imam left deep impact on contemporary history by leading the revolution to victory in 1979. The Islamic revolution put Iran on track of progress, changed balance of power in the interest of developing nations and defended the rights of oppressed people.

Imam’s dynamic thought and ideals are becoming increasingly popular among various nations of the world by passage of time.
