Imam Khomeini awakened Muslim nations: Turkish intellectual

A Turkish intellectual says the founder of the Islamic republic raised awareness among the Muslim nations by introducing the dynamic and genuine teachings of the holy prophet and his infallible successors.

Farmani Altoon, the chairman of Ahlul Bayt Foundation in Turkey said that the spiritual and religious leader introduced the whole world the pure school of thought of the holy prophet of Islam and awakened people from the sleep of ignorance and laziness.

The activist went on to say that the ongoing Islamic awakening across the Middle East, North Africa and some other parts of the world were inspired by genuine thoughts and efforts of the late Imam Khomeini.

The intellectual also added that the great Imam’s efforts bore fruit for the spiritual growth of the world society and he had been successful in introducing the Ahlul Bayt school of thought to the global community.

Imam prevented the global society from falling into social and moral decline at very sensitive juncture of the history, Altoon emphasized.

Imam Khomeini founded the best and a unique Islamic-democratic system based on pure Islamic thought and teachings and the Iran’s Islamic Revolution left a very positive impact on the change of power balances in the region and across the globe, the chief of the foundation noted.

The Revolution and Imam’s thought are still inspiring Islamic awakening across the region and globe since its victory in Iran more than three decades ago.

The activist also praised Imam for keeping the doors of Ejtihad and dynamic thought open to find answers to new and modern era enquiries.

Imam also put special emphasizes on making vast use of scientific researches and interdisciplinary approaches to enrich and strengthen the Islamic system, the intellectual said. 

The activist concluded that Imam was the champion of Islamic unity and the Muslim Ummah should continue his path in order to meet the contemporary needs and challenges.
