Four Pakistani women highlighted the key role of Imam Khomeini as a global leader and reformist during an exclusive interview with the official website of Imam Khomeini in the Iranian capital, Tehran.
Imam must not be considered as a leader for Muslim umma, he actually belongs to all humanity and all the oppressed people of the world, Lady Tabassom Ali made the remarks.
Seeking justice and freedom, defending rights of the down trodden and struggling against global imperialism were the distinct features of Imam's personality as the great spiritual leader for all Muslim nations, she added.
She also noted that Imam is a role model who released the oppressed nations from the clutches of arrogant powers and brought them peace, honor and dignity.
Lady Yasamin Sultan, another guest from Pakistan, called Imam a true follower of the prophet of Islam Hadrat Mohammad (peace be upon him) and his purified house hold.
Imam sacrificed his life on the way of promoting pure teachings of Islam and struggling against injustice and inequity. He always recommended his followers to maintain unity and integrity before the enemies of Islam, lady Sultan asserted.
Another guest, lady Sadaf Ali, considering the difference between responsibilities assigned to men and women in Islam, emphasized that although both men and women should benefit from the equal rights in a society, they do not play the same role and do not have the same duty.
Imam also attached significance on the role of women in training and educating young children and developing the cultural capacity of any society, the intellectual Muslim woman added.
Lady Jahani Tabassom, who has studied many books and articles written by or about Imam Khomeini believe that Imam's intellectual works and his dynamic thought still continue to guid and inspire many muslim and non-muslim people across the world.
It is worth to say that tens of intellectuals and religious leaders from various parts of the globe have attended this event of high significance to commemorate the greatest personality of contemporary history on the 25th anniversary of his heavenly departure.
