Imam Advised Nation and Government to Build Close Ties

The founder of the Islamic Republic sought to establish very close and amicable ties between the nation and government.

Imam Khomeini made historic remarks during a gathering of officials and workers of the finance ministry in the holy city of Qom in 1980.

Imam advised the authorities and the people to assist each other in resolving the problems.

The great Muslim leader recalled that there was a hostile relationship between the nation and authorities during the Pahlavi Shah regime era.  At that time, the people and regime authorities did not have mutual trust and considered each other adversaries.

The religious and spiritual leader emphasized that if a country want to be balanced and progressive, then the government and the public masses should form very strong bonds.

Imam recommended the authorities to follow the conduct of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), the infallible successor of the holy prophet of Islam,   established divine justice and a prosperous society in early era of Islam.

It is noteworthy that Imam Khomeini established a modern Islamic state in contemporary era which brought prosperity for the Iranians in coming decades. Islamic state is considered a great supporter of the oppressed nations across the globe.
