New York hosted Imam Khomeini anniversary

A group of faithful devotees at Imam Ali Islamic Center in the US city of New York has held a ceremony to mark the 27th passing away anniversary of Imam Khomeini.

 

Addressing the mourners at the ceremony, Iranian Ambassador to the United Nations Gholamali Khoshroo said that Iran’s enjoy a high-scale security and peace and order in the volatile Mideast region, and this all owes to great existing bond between its mass public and the leadership. 

The close association and connection between public and the government actually architected and recommended by Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic, he added. 

Iranian envoy went onto say that the Iran’s Islamic-democratic system has presented a role-model in confronting all types of violence and terrorism. 

Millions are being attracted by the Islamic Republic due to its independent policies and firm stance against terrorism, he stressed. 

Elsewhere in his remarks, the late founder of the Islamic Republic, strongly believed in Muslim unity and based Islamic Republic system on public vote. 

Imam Khomeini passed away on June 03, 1989 and departed heavenly after reviving divine, and spiritual values in contemporary era. His dynamic thought and ideals raised awareness and awakening among the entire Muslim Ummah and the oppressed nations.
